By the way, about eq2 vs wow pve question, from what little experience i have from eq2 it has more quantity but less quality. Raid encounters in eq seem to follow the 'boss has aoe/or boss has adds' mentality. They don't have many tricks, next boss will just have a bigger aoe and the next one will h...

First of all, daoc or wow are not for casual players. In the same way you will get crushed if you do rvr in daoc 3-4 hours a week, in the same little time you won't achieve anything significant in wow endgame other than fun little stuff. You can pvp for fun or do a small instance but you won't reall...

Well, it's a matter of coincedence as well. You happened to play a druid in wow which gave you a different view about it than most people had. Especially before the druid review druids were really an unpleasant class so i guess your opinion is justified, even if it had little to do with the real end...

Each game is vastly different really, daoc is mainly a pvp game, wow is mostly a pve game. Both have pros and cons. For pvp specifically: wow pros: -you can't get zerged since it's instanced -you rely a lot less on reflexes -you don't need your rank for anything once you buy your items (other than b...

I think they did pull the plug at one of the Asheron's call games and some other less known mmorpgs, so it is something that might happen eventually. I can see what you are saying though, even if i don't understand why they would cut the monthly fee alltogether, maintenance of the server still has i...

If daoc dies, where will all our characters go and what will happen to Mag Mell and Tir Na Nog? After all those years, it feels as if the place really existed at some point. It's weird to think that one day they will pull the plug and everything will go 'puff' and all the places you visited will no ...

Actually remembering the gank fest that followed the introduction of the honour system imo the bg's were the right move. I don't want to live those days ever again. My guess is that even if they give outworld pvp encounters people will stick to the bg's as they are anti-zerg. I appreciate 3 things a...

If you examine the picture carefully you will notice our king is an Elf and wearing scale-armour (topped with a Winged Helmet). There is 1 problem,Lug Lamfhota has a spear, which would indicate he's a hero and not a champion (only Elf scale-wearing class). One could explain that the spear of Lamfho...
