Hehe, most cats back away from rats since rats tend to get more aggressive than mice when threatened
Only time i've seen cats catch rabbits/Rats are when they find young or sick specimen.

well full sized rats aint nothing you want to mess with really ;< they are really big, we had rabbits rather long time ago now, 30 or so, and was one year rats got into their cages, and they killed some of the rabbits newborn children ;/
don't remember what happened to the mother though, just remember the children getting killed ;< damn had so many Rabbits and don't even remember what you call the kids of a rabbit, or even if they have any special name ;P
And for having rats as pets... think it's enough having those you don't want to have around living in your house ;P talking about the small buggers now though ;P

I cant hold rats, my ferrets would eat them
I walked past the petshop yesterday and there are 3 kittens there ... I so miss having a cat in the house and i'm really tempted to call my landlord and ask him if i can have a cat. I'm pretty sure he wouldnt mind but I dont know if a kitten and a 7 month old baby is a perfect match. What do you guys think?

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! How absolutely adorable. Keep the pet piccies flowing
I'm curious about the frozen mice thing. My brother had a snake and it would refuse to eat anything not live. How do you feed a snake a frozen mouse?

for a snake to eat frozen mice (which btw you let defrost by just taking it out of the freezer for a couple hours) you need to 'teach' it from when its just a juvenile. Some snakes never learn how to eat pre-killed food and those snakes you just have to risk giving live ones. Problem with frozen food is that you must make sure they are room temperature before you feed with them or else the cold food might give the snake a stomach disease that is quite lethal. Incase you don't want to kill food or use prekilled you could get an egg eating snake but there is only one snake species that eat it.
Edit: I concider myself be quite an experienced reptile handler so belive it or not but for once I actually know what Im talking about
and I bet thats the first time!!
