shroud of turin is fake. stigmata is fake. Anything that has any religious connection in the modern day is fake and should be looked at scornfully. Although i will make an exception for Lourdes as although there is what i would say much fable about it, the place is rather nice and imo it's the people that make religions, places etc belief and make humanity a more important state than anything else. Therefore anything that brings humanity together is good. Just too bad science bitch slaps it and thus = fake

From what i gather people can get so into jesus and stuff that they literally cause themselves to manifest these things.
Similar to when people spontanously combust and other things.

I would imagine it is a self manifestation rather than a god given one as I think god would choose a non-believer rather than a believer to cause stuff like that to happen.

...but national geographics were also convinced some years ago that they had found a flying dinosaur..which also turned out to be wrong as it was all fake. There are tons and tons of fake things out there - and the ones creating them are more stupid than the ones who try to prove them to be fake

well no i dont think thats fair

i actually believe it cuz there is alot of things in the world we cant explain. Stuff happens thats just odd.
I said also i didnt think it was from god but satyn said they were unbelievers so maybe it is.

Its a scientific fact people have spontaniously combusted before leaving the rest of the furniture theyre sitting on perfectly fine.

If stuff like that can happen, i cant see why it would be so strange people would suddenly gain marks on their hands/feet/sides.

Butalso something that goes against some of the stigmata claims.

The marks are in the hands and feet.

In the roman days they would have nailed thru the wrists and sometimes the ankles but not the actual hands/feet.

Thats what makes most people believe that its self generated

Seems more like there's no link between being religious and it happening though which suggests it's more just a natural problem anyway We all get the odd quirks with our body, I had some trapped fluid under a tendon in my finger that gave this weird little lump at the base of one of my finger joints for like 2 years, doctor said it may come back it may not, no big deal it happens

Banana, spontaneous human combustion has largely been explained, check here for info on the human wick effect. According to other articles it suggests that spontaneous human combustion may not even be a real phenomena though - that it's never actually been proven, if it does occur the human wick effect can explain how a human can burn without destroying much else around them however.
