off topic = non daoc related
spam = post farming / flaming

for example this is spam where this has nothing to do with daoc but still has a reasonable amount of intelligence in the post

I think that's what the mods are aiming for anyway. My saving the world thread should be moved to off topic imo

ok nice thread - can we stop the differentiation now ? It is getting too complicated.

Yeah anything outright nonsensical/flaming/pointless is spam, anything with at least some sensible and worthy discussion can be general off-topic discussion

I suspect that distinction may be quite different depending on who is judging.

Well I think all the mods have a pretty equal opinion of what is spam, flaming and generally useless as opposed to what's sensible non-DAoC related but not spam
