I think I finally get it. This is the penny dropping \o/.

OK so maybe we can summarise what seem to be the views in this thread so far. There is a claim that someone broke a community 'norm' by posting information on a public board about a relic raid. There are some people who feel quite strongly about this norm and have cried for the person concerned to be banned. Others feel that a rule has been broken and so have chastised the person concerned.
The problem with norms is that they have to have some sort of sanction and this is where the Code of Conduct should come in. A code of conduct would mean that a decision about what was normal and what was not could be taken. The problem is that realistically the code of conduct cannot cover this sort of thing and therefore it doesn't actually cover it at all. There is not evidence thus far to verify this (see all the hot air in my rants about it).
I hope this is ok so far?
Well if this is ok I would have to say that if something cannot realistically be covered by a code of conduct and therefore be policed (so that Mythic and GoA don't get sued for the withdrawal of a service).
I am forced to conclude that the absence of the ability to sanction such behaviour means that the norm in question is not actually a 'norm' as such because you cannot enforce it. It causes arguements and has resulted in a thus far fruitless discussion.
I might be better to use the exposure of the norm as inadequate and try to find a range of ways to 'see things differently'. Mythic clearly state that for example double teaming might be appropriate under restricted cicumstances - personally I can see where this would be a major advantage on servers where one side comes to dominate....
kind regards and thanks Hrymf for finally helping me see through this.
