I think the problem with all this "don't add" discussion is that people that agree not to add will expect not to get added on, this unfortunately won't happen.
Even if you don't add on fights expect to be added on (sometimes even by those who say that they don't add), some people are rp horny, some people are trigger happy, some people will run straight into the fight by accident, some people just don't care and will attack anything.
You can't expect other people to abide by artificial rules created by a small part of the playerbase, people will do whatever they want, and if it is within the official rules you can't really blame them.

As Usp said right at the start, your best bet is to avoid IRC. You can pretty much predict the attitudes of anyone on there without even needing to speak to them. Your experience just reinforces that.

As for adding, etc, the argument is moot. We share the frontier and all the complaining in the world isn't going to change that. If there are people who really care that much about adding, they should go find a zone where just them and their counterparts from other realms can play together. They are the ones who want an artificially engineered situation for their play, so it's up to them to engineer it. I respect their right to play as they please, but I'm not going to change the way I play to suit preferences that are exactly opposite to my own.

Hmm ... if Stupeh continues trying to turn this into a flaming match, is there any chance he'll get banned? Just wondering, cos it would kinda be poetic justice.

I'm sure we don't need all the silly name calling and trolling that goes on in IRC and at FH house here.
