2005 Derby Triathlon

Hi guys,

It's time to show you a real-life photo of me. Attached to this e-mail is a picture of my relay team that ran/swam/rode in the 2005 Derby Triathlon on September 11th.

I'm the one on the left with the gloves.

The guy on the right did the 400m swim in 11:55, followed by me on the bike for 18k (59:05), finishing with the lass in the middle doing a 5k run in 32:44.

Overall we came 483rd out of 524, but sadly came 7th out of 7 for the relay team category

Oh well.

Still not too late to sponsor us though

The web-page at www.justgiving.com/hughbarnett will be open for another couple of months.

But anyway, that's the real life me

Bri - I have to say it is soo coool to see you at last!!! Thanks for this - you are mad a triathalon - I mean better to work on elbow strength mate trust me.

Yeah but the endorphins are soooooo addictive.

I'm already planning a solo assault on the Derby Tri next September, but gotta shift a few more stones before I can train for the run bit. So, we're thinking over whether to enter a team in the Southwell Tri (Nottingham) next May.

You never know, GOA might have sorted my alts out by then
