You know how personal mounts can be named?
Well, why can't we do the same for our houses? It would add a nice touch, I think, and make the house feel more like a home. It all sounds very clinical when you have a numbered house, but being able to name your house would make things more realistic. I bet Aran would immediately name his house "Willow Tavern" if they introduced house naming.
There's a semi detached new build house just around the corner from me called Rivendell, always makes me laugh when I see it - maybe it was named ironically.

Used to live next door to Electric Ladyland, at least that was original. Compare that too the numerous 'The Croft's' & 'Sea View's' you stumble across.
Makes me laugh when people spell the name wrong & try & make it sound like the house has a history. Parent's live in leafy village & the house 4 doors down is brand new but called 'The olde Forge' - once upon a time there was a forge on the opposite side of the road.
Those that can't lead follow.
Those that can lead should admit when they're lost.
my house is called glenhaven or something , so nobody calls it by that anymore. we still sometimes get post delivered to "glenhaven" just cos the last owner was a bit of a prick.

..Or if someone converts some old public toilets to living accommodation, they could call it "The Olde Sh*t House"
