Yeh I once had a very religious friend in highschool that I had many proper discussions with and it was among the most fun things I knew.

To bad this didnt turn into that

We had a religious kid at school, can't remember what religion but he wasn't allowed to use a computer or watch TV (although it wasn't as strict as Amish), shame Gandelf's religion doesn't preach that

I had religous friends in school, when we hit our teens and I was alloud out in the evenings they were not. That was the end of that.

one of the kids at our school was a jehovas witness. most of the questions i ended up asking started with 'yea but why?' and sort of ended in a confused 'ok'

oh and guys - calm down over poor gandelf will ya.
his last 5 posts at least were said mostly in jest it seems and as for not posting he HAS said that he hasnt much time and the debate where the whole forum seems to be intent on derailing his views is making him a tad nervous.
One of the reasons why i stopped posting in this thread is because faith is a personal and private thing. Most of the time not easily explained. And when you know people will get angry at you or call you stupid it makes it even harder.

Just feed him some of these

He has to thank the reactions to himself Banana. If he would post reasonably this would not happen. Ankh, Mojo and the others are 100% right in this case.

O and if you have to little time to really participate in a discussion then dont freaking do it.
