yes it does... does'nt it... so why not explain that in the RN reply. So much better than the automatically generated posts that usually come out of that system and seeing as they have to reply to each case it would make more sense... but thats just me.

Takits key point is that he isn't going to pay to reopen an account when he doesnt know when it will be restored.
Give him a date Requiel and he can renew it the night before and we'll all be happy.

The problem is he did pay for quite a long while and didn't get the service when he was paying, now he's finally given up paying for not receiving a service they're asking him to pay some more for something he should've got whilst paying so much previously.Quinlan wrote:You dont pay you dont get service..dont see anything wrong with that.
That it took several months to get to it is a whole different discussion imo.
O and this is nothing new. These things happened immediatly after they started restoring
Dell tried to pull the same thing on me with my laptop, they failed to fix it for 3months whilst still in warranty, then the warranty ran out and they tried to tell me they couldn't do anything because it was out of warranty and told me I'd have to pay for the repair, when I pointed out they hadn't honoured my warranty whilst it was still valid they had no choice but to act upon it and end up resolving it by replacing it with a new laptop after finally admitting how much they'd messed me around, just a shame, like with a lot of companies who try and pull scams like that it took the threat of trading standards and taking them to court over it to make them act on it. GOA's in a lucky position that no one's willing to bother taking them to even a small claims court over a £15 subscription or whatever which is why they can get away with this type of thing.
